I found Ming's auto shop after being jerked around by the Gulf Auto Body Shop in Newton on Washington St. You see, I am not a car person, so I am left to the mercy of the mechanic to do whatever it is that he/she says about my car, as I know nothing about whether they are telling the truth or not. At the gulf station I was told that my O2 sensors were screwed up, but instead of replacing the O2 sensors, they replaced the computer, an air intake valve, and something else- costing me $1700, yet my check engine light was still on, and my engine still revved at red lights. So after blowing 6 weeks pay at the gulf I went to Ming's and explained to him my situation- how I was ignorant about everything involving cars and how my car was still broken yet i had already put $1700 worth of work into it. Ming has been great to me. He fixed my car over night for $900, explaining to me everything that was wrong and all the possible ways we could fix it, each with their own plusses and minuses. It was nice to be given the full discloser of information and actually given all my options to explore from the mechanics point of view. What has impressed me most about Ming's shop is the treatment I have received since become one of their customers, Since my O2 sensors replacement, I have had to bring my car into Ming 3 times because a light has shown up on my dashboard, or my trunk stopped popping open, or my passenger door was sticky. Each time he has personally made time for me on short notice and diagnosed the problem himself, and has given me the cheaper "fix-it-yourself" options, when he could have easily had me leave my car with him for an hour and charged me manual labor. He has always treated me with respect and I trust that Ming's shop will give me all of my possible options to explore in fixing my car, before charging me an arm and a leg for any procedures. Ming's a great guy, and a wonderful mechanic. I strongly recommend anyone taking their car to see Ming.
