We just had our Subaru Forester repaired by Ming for a second time (the car has 140,000 miles on it, so it's just at that stage when parts are wearing out) and were just as blown away with his quality and speed of service, low price and convenience-factor as the first time.I wouldn't bring our car anywhere else. Not that we're looking forward to putting more money into repairs, but I do look forward to being able to give Ming more business in the future.

One more thing to add - I waited a few weeks to write my review to ensure that I was also happy with the way the car ran and drove after the repairs. I've driven about 1,000 miles on the car since the repairs and it still feels like new again!

purchased a salvage vehicle that I learned I could not use due to local legislation. What a bummer. I decided I'd get the car fixed and give it to a friend. And Ming was my shop of choice. Ming helped me by inspecting the car, investigating the problems, identifying what needed to be replaced, and being honest when parts arrived that were incorrect (thank you, online parts sellers!). The work completed was done appropriately and professionally, and the communication was fantastic. Ming is an excellent person to work with, providing timely updates of where the work is, photos of progress, and generally did a job well done. Thank you Ming for your patience and hard work. I strongly recommend Ming's shop.

I have a 2002 Subaru that I thought was on its last legs but Ming seems to have restored it to health. Prices were reasonable (i had breaks done, fuel lines replaced, battery and wipers replace, and wheel bearing work done), service excellent, and great communication. Ming gave me a written price quote before each job, got confirmation on all work I wanted done, and has stood by the work he's done. Did the work in a timely fashion with good communication so I could get to work and get the car back in time to pick up my son from school. I feel like I'm driving a new car :)

I found Ming's through a web search for garages that work on Volkswagens. Specifically, I have a Eurovan, and most shops hardly know what these are. I found good comments from customers and decided to give him a call - instantly got the feeling that he knew what he was doing and deserved the ratings he was given. Results were great, job done properly, thoroughly, and in less time than expected. Ming's is not conveniently located for me, but I know I'll be going back when I need more work.

Had my Audi A6 repaired a couple of days ago by Ming's Auto Repair and received the highest quality repair and care! Great communication skills with comprehendible explanations, and a follow up email :) Major repair work included: replacement of timing belt and related stuff (water pump etc), value cover gaskets (car leaked like crazy) and replace spark plugs. I mentioned that my check engine light as been on for about 70,000 miles, replaced some tubes and the light has been off since (another shop quoted me $2K plus to replace the catalytic converters. Plus, my mileage has improved by 4mph/gallon. Heck, the car was wash, and vacuumed as well! Recommend Ming's Auto without hesitation.

I recently had extensive work done on my Subaru Outback. I needed both a new head gasket and a rebuilt transmission. It was a very big decision to make, and I needed the advice of an expert to explain the procedures, and to assist me in making a decision about whether to do the work or give up on the car. Because I had a car that was in otherwise good shape, I was leaning towards doing the repairs, but felt I had to find someone I could really trust to do the work. Ming Wong turned out to be just that person. I was given a very thorough explanation about the nature of the job, what I could expect, and what the risks might be. Once I decided to go through with the job, Ming got started. I was lined up with a local rental, and by the next day, the parts were ordered and work was begun. During the process, I was given frequent updates, and much to my surprise the work was completed in a very timely manner. When I picked up my car, Ming explained all he had done, and while he was involved in the deep engine work, he had reviewed everything and completed additional maintenance that will keep my car in good form for the next few years. I was also given detailed instructions about keeping my car in top performance mode. When I picked up my car, it looked, sounded and performed like a new auto. It took a lot of trust on my part to do with a new mechanic to do this work, but he had been well recommended, and from my point of view, the recommendations were well founded. I would recommend this garage to others.

My car more or less imploded after work one day, and following the advice of previous reviewers, I took it to Ming's for repair - I was not led astray. They did excellent work, and everything was explained very thoroughly (and without condescension - appreciated, though I will be the first to admit I know nothing about cars.) My car runs better than it did before its meltdown.

Ming's is Great! So far, they have been super honest about what my car needs and they never pressure me into anything. They get the car back the same day and call to confirm that you want to go ahead with the changes. My only compliant is that it is a bit pricey. That said, I am willing to pay the extra for the quality of service I have gotten. THanks for keeping my car in good shape Ming!

Done all the work on my 95 mazda millenia. Never an issue he could't figure out or couldn't fix. Gave the best recipts I've ever seen. I don't have a lot to price against, but it seemed fair. If your getting a lot of expensive work done he'll usually clean the interior for free. For the bad: they're a little short with opinions. They'll call you back and say "here is the problem do you want to fix it or not", and if you try to negotiate you might get the impression they don't want to discuss it. You either get the work done or not, end of story. Also, only Ming and one other mechanic speak english, which isn't an issue in and of itself, but if it's busy and you have questions you have to wait for Ming to finish with the other customers.

Ming knows Audi cars very well, and equally important, he is honest. I have an Audi A6, and the check engine light was on. The error code suggested the problem was related to the catalytic converter. I talked to several shops asking for a quote, all of them said it would cost more than a thousand dollars to fix the catalytic converter or the oxygen sensor. Then I found Ming's shop by searching the internet, and stopped by his garage. After showing him the error code, he asked me the year of the car and the mileage. With this information, he immediately told me that the catalytic converter was still within the warranty and informed me that this could be fixed for free with Audi dealers. This information was a big relief for me and saved me ~ thousand dollars. As he suggested, the catalytic converter was replaced by an Audi dealer for free.
