Best mechanic in Boston !

They charge far more than qualified competitors. I got my repairs done half price elsewhere. I had an issue with suspension, needed an oil and transmission fluid change. I went to Ming's and was charged $75 for the estimate then quoted almost $2000 for all repairs including $1400 for front struts and stabilizers and $450 for transmission flush. I decided that seemed far too expensive and checked RepairPal which seemed to confirm that theory so I called around and found that reputable shops offer FREE estimates because they stand behind their prices being competitive. Then I got the $1850 suspension work and transmission flush (flush, not a change) done for less than $900.

New and first time customer. At time of drop off , customer wanted oil and filter change and had also requested diagnosis for multiple systems. Advised customer upfront by email there will be a diagnostic fee of $75 of which is non refundable. also company policy signs are posted inside the garage in front of the office area for all customers to see. Customer approved by email to proceed with diagnostics as requested. Gave email estimate of repairs based on his concerns and customer declined. Respected customer's decision. Pricing varies throughout different repair facilities. Can always call around to get the lowest pricing. Adage: get what you pay for. Our estimates are given without comprising our high standards of quality on any given repair. Have regular customers coming to us for 10-20 years, who expects this within a reasonable price.

We often try to diagnose, troubleshoot and tune our own vehicles. I've done that over the years with my 2003 Murano and for the most part I've been able to better understand what the problems are so that if I can't fix it myself I will be able to at least describe the issue I've been having to a mechanic. I recently had my coils and spark plug replaced due to a misfiring on cylinder 3. The car still was not running right and the check engine light would not clear. I used my own ODBII scanner to pull the codes and it was for the MAF sensor. After replacing the sensor there was still no improvement and I became frustrated because I did not want to take it back to the mechanic that had worked on my car previously. So I decided to take it to Ming's Auto Repair after searching for several hours on internet for a good, trusted repair shop. I came across Ming's shop on Yelp and was impressed with all the positive reviews. I made an appointment online and was contacted soon after by Ming himself to confirm my appointment time. It is rare to find a local shop that takes the time to communicate with their customers in the manner that Ming does. So when I got to the shop I was directed to the back office and there was Ming. After a brief introduction we immediately started discussing the issue that I had been having. While completing the online appointment I was able to list what I had done to the car and what was wrong with it. Ming took the time to review my notes prior to me arriving. That alone impressed me and Ming was honest to me about expectations. He basically said he would do his best to diagnose the problem and asked me when I needed the car back. I wanted the problem fixed so I told him a couple days or so. After leaving the shop Ming contacted me in the afternoon and told me that it was fixed! One of the wires to the MAF clip became dislodged, that was one of the first things Ming said to me that he had checked. He told me that the check engine light cleared and he test drove it several times to make sure everything was ok and that he did not notice anything else wrong with it. I wish I knew about Ming's Auto Repair, I'm sure he would have saved me $$$$ in repairs. He only charged me $76 for the diagnostics and I got my car back same day. You know that feeling you get when all is right with your car after it had been repaired? Well, that is the feeling that I am still enjoying a day later. If you're car is not running right and you are not all to confident with the repair shop you are currently dealing with then take your baby to Ming's Auto Repair. I'm glad I did. Thank you Ming...

Yet again, Ming and his team met my expectation for the highest level of excellence in auto servicing. This time I had Ming do his thorough "pre-purchase' review of a 2007 BMW 335i convertible and provided me with great information down to the sensors in the convertible roof. I always trust Ming and Corey to deliver value and they did again. Highly recommend!
